Our Club Vision Facilitation is a four-hour session (5:00-9:00 p.m. on March 31) that will assist leaders and members of our Rotary club in achieving continuity, consistency and consensus. All participants must be present prior to 5:00 p.m. to be ready for the beginning of the session (a light meal and overview presentation by one of the facilitators). The facilitation session is intended for all Rotarians in our club—from our newest members to our most tenured. The breadth and depth of the facilitation exercise is optimized when there is broad club representation. During the Vision Facilitation session, a team of District 6440 facilitators will lead a 10-Step process consisting of an overview presentation, a writing exercise, data collection, consensus voting and breakout exercise with sample action plan development. The Club will then be prepared to support development of Action plans for each goal under the platform of a 3-year Master Plan. This step becomes the Vision to Success. NOTE: Parking is available on nearby streets and at the City of Evanston garage at Church St. and Chicago Ave. Please advise Jackie Mack (jackie@jackiemack.com) if you have any dietary restrictions. |

She’ll share how the organization delivers individualized support through housing, employment services, and clinical care, enabling participants to achieve greater independence and stability. She’ll share success stories and the critical role of permanent supportive housing. |

"Cartoon Storytelling"

“Cartoon Storytelling” is a way for students (of all ages) to use cartooning skills so that they can create stories that help them deal with personal experiences – sometimes traumatic ones.
In 2023, Steven Fischer received his second Fulbright Specialist grant to present the class at the University of Tokyo in Japan. (His first came in 2014 where he presented Cartoon Storytelling at The University of Debrecen in Hungary.) The 2023 grant was supplemented by support from the University of Tokyo, which first offered Cartoon Storytelling in 2021, producing two volumes of original cartoons titled Tokyo Cartoon, and Tokyo Cartoon Volume II. Fischer’s 2023 Fulbright award supports the creation of the third volume, which was completed between October and November. |

Most people are aware of only the most obvious solutions to the climate emergency, such as solar power and electric cars. Zbig will provide an overview of less-known technologies, emerging tech, tech that’s a waste of money, and tech that should be avoided.
