No one could have predicted a year ago that this Rotary year would end with virtually all of our members sitting at home, just hoping they would not fall victim to a virus that was affecting people in every country of the world, especially the United States.
So we met virtually in a Zoom meeting, which many members had never heard of when this Rotary year began. Helen Oloroso, our president, presided.
Announcements
Two new committees and a new group this year were recognized by our president:
Housing Insecurity, headed by Ann Weatherhead.
Technology Committee, chaired by Marv Edelstein.
Past Presidents Group, founded and presided over by Ann Searles.
Labeling this as a “remarkable year,” President Helen awarded the Change Agent of the Year Award to Marv Edelstein.

Upon adjournment, a number of members gathered on the Northwestern University lakefront for a post-meeting picnic, observing the rules for healthy social distancing, of course.
